This Is a project of our Jerusalem ministry, but it is aimed at assisting needy families on a weekly or monthly basis. When Jesus miraculously fed the five thousand of people with five loaves of bread and a couple of pieces of fish, people would not have imagined that each individual would be satisfied, but they were well fed.
The Pack-A-Bag ministry models after Jesus example of feeding those who are in need. Each week our members go to the housing project to serve individual and families nutritious groceries. The main goal of this project is to provide relief for low-income families in at risk neighborhoods. This relief provisions open doors to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, bring them into the church were they ultimately will be build up to become independent citizens, in love with Jesus.

OUR JERUSALEM- SOUTH AVONDALE House Project
This area of Birmingham is overwhelmed with poverty, violence, gangs, lack of chances for education and a lack of access to basic supplies. Poverty and danger have driven many businesses out.
With so few opportunities for those who live there, they have a saying "If you live here you die here". Each week our street outreach goes there to ministry. Most of the families we reach out to in this area are made up of single moms with teenagers and very young children. Kids are often sucked into this destructive cycle.
The closest thing to a mentor or caring adult is a drug dealer or gang recruiters, who offers them safety and helps to take care of their family.
"Instead of being overwhelmed by violence and poverty around them, our team carries the message of God's love." . |

Van Ministry
In the words of Pastor Garth, "The Van ministry is not about transportation, it is about soul - winning."
Through our outreaches, like our Pack-A-Bag or our Jerusalem street outreach, a lady called us to thank us for the free food we had given through the pack-a-bag. She asked if there was a way for her to come to church since she didn't have a car.
On Sunday Morning the van pick's her up and, she said, "it was the first time she had been to church in years and after the service she said she love it!" She even went up to the altar and prayed during altar call. Now she is a regular at the stop.
